With regard to the latest Presidential Address (28 December 2020); we think it’s appropriate to keep you updated on the situation at our hotel as we are the closest accommodation to Cape Town International Airport. South Africa is now undergoing modified Level 3 restrictions until 15 January 2021 due to the progression of the global COVID-19 outbreak.
Hotel Verde Cape Town Airport assures you that your safety and comfort, as always, remain our highest priority. We are implementing processes to ensure that when we welcome guests, it is done so in the safest way possible for you and for our staff.
We have continued with a number of strict health and safety measures, guided by international and domestic health authorities and best practice. We are not selling alcohol, respecting privacy, social distancing and strict care and hygiene as well as possibly limiting services or amenities to reduce guest contact.
Government Lockdown Levels
The South African government has implemented a system of 5 alert levels to ease the country and economy back into operation in the safest way possible. We have moved to to a modified Level 3 effective from 29 December 2020 which has stricter evening curfew times and prohibits public gatherings and the sale of alcohol.
